Elizabethan Tymes, A Country Faire - Located approximately 68 miles south of Elizabeth City in Manteo, North Carolina at the Roanoke Island Festival Park. This fair will be held October 6th - 7th from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. Tickets will be $8 for adults, $5 for students ages 6 - 17, and free for children ages 5 and under. The admission price to the Faire is included in Roanoke Island Festival Park's general admission ticket and is good for both days of the event. Those who choose to dress in period attire will be required to keep weapons sheathed and peace-tied. The only firearms allowed will be unloaded period pieces. No alcohol will be sold or permitted. The festivities will begin with a grand parade featuring the Baronial Court arriving at the Town of Manteo docks to be escorted across the Cora Mae Basnight Bridge. Carolina Renaissance Festival - Located approximately 14 miles north of Charlotte in Huntersville, North Carolina. This fair will be held weekends October 6th - November 18th from 10:00 am - 5:30 pm. Tickets will be $18 for adults, $16 for seniors ages 60 and older, $7 for kids ages 5 - 12, and free for children ages 5 and under. Parking will be free. Those who wish to dress in costume must keep weapons sheathed and peace-tied. Theme weekends will include Brew Fest which will include a team of home brewers demonstrating their craft, Halloween Daze and Spooky Knights featuring free child admissions with hidden treats to be found throughout the village and a Halloween Treasure Hunt with a chest full of prizes, Celtic Trader Jam highlighting Celtic performances by local and guest musicians and a Knobby Knees Contest for kilt-wearing highlanders, and A Pirate's Christmas with rowdy pirate entertainment scheduled all weekend. Special features include Student Days and a free Kid's Kingdom with crafts and a play area. Visitors can enjoy a wealth of entertainment presented on several stages scattered around the grounds including exciting jousting, outrageous comedy, captivating music, and enthralling dancing. Skilled artisans will be selling such finely crafted items as jewelry, candles, toys, clothing, leather goods ,art, weapons, and many more items. A Camelot Christmas - Located in Raleigh, North Carolina. This festival will be held December 1st - 2nd from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and is presented by the North Carolina Renaissance Faire. This fair combines medieval merriment with Christmas spirit through music, storytelling, dancing, foods, drinks, and gifts for the season.
