Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire - Located approximately 33 miles east of Harrisburg in Manheim, Pennsylvania. This fair will be held weekends and Labor Day Monday August 11th - October 28th from 11:00 am - 8:00 pm. Parking will be free. Tickets will be $28 for adults, $10 for kids ages 5 - 11, and free for children ages 4 and under. Those who choose to dress up will need to keep weapons sheathed and peace-tied. Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival - Located approximately 6 miles west of New Stanton in West Newton, Pennsylvania. This fair will be held weekends and Labor Day Monday August 25th - September 30th from 10:00 am - 6:30 pm. Parking will be free. Those wishing to dress in costume will not be allowed to carry weapons. Tickets will be $15 for adults and $6 for kids. Special features include Educational School Days September 18th - 19th and a Children's Realm which will offer a treasure hunt as well as many crafts, games and activities. Visitors will enjoy dramatic jousting, astonishing magic, hilarious comedy, engaging music, and more entertainment. Village Renaissance Faire - Located approximately 40 miles southeast of Allentown in Wrightstown, Pennsylvania. This fair will be held September 15th - 16th from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm. Parking will be free. Tickets will be $5 with kids ages 5 and under admitted for free. Those who wish to dress in period attire must keep weapons sheathed and peace-tied. No alcohol will be sold or permitted. Special features include a special Kids Kingdom with knight training, crafts, story time, interactive theatre and music land; and the Living History Pavilion which will provide demonstrations in hand-to-hand combat, the illumination of manuscripts, mending of armor and other crafts. Wild Rose Renaissance Faire - Located approximately 43 miles northeast of Meadville in Columbus Pennsylvania. This new fair will be held weekends September 29th - October 21st. Tickets will be $8 for adults, $5 for kids and seniors, and free for children ages 5 and under. Every visitor who enters will be given a rose. Those choosing to dress in costume will need to keep weapons sheathed and peace-tied. Vendors will offer clothing, woolen goods, and celtic and medieval gifts. Entertainment is unknown at this time. FaerieCon: The International Faerie Convention - This event will be held October 12th - 14th at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Preview Night on Friday will be 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Saturday hours will be 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, and Sunday hours will be 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. Tickets will be $17.50 for adults and $10 for kids. Separate Masquerade Balls, Good Faeries and Bad Faeries, will be held Friday and Saturday nights 8:30 pm - 12:00 am at the Trocadero Theatre followed by midnight movies both nights. Tickets for these events will be $22.50. This is not exactly a renaissance fair, but a celebration of the fantastical world of fairies. Guests of honor will be Brian and Wendy Froud. Vendors will be offering exquisite handmade items, there will be presentations by featured guests, and enchanting storytellers as well as walk around performers will entertain visitors.
