wrinkled from time and tears.
Bradford pear trees blossom;
A large oak casts a shadow
on the porch rocker,
a respite from the heat of day.
She rocks in silence,
breathing deeply the essence of spring,
glad that her tired old bones
have seen the last of winter's harsh reply.
