I'm happy I have a school that represents more than a school or just a business. It represents the community and the needs of the community. It is a great place to reach out of yourself and reach inside yourself for developement of self and others.

Awesome story and oh so true! I am an attorney working as volunteer for the Family Justice Center in San Antonio, Texas where we serve the victims of domestic violence and seek to empower them.
Dr Lockhart and I have been discussing how can his expertise and passion can make a positive impact for the victims of domestic violence. The approach of Dr Lockhart and his school is not only towards self defense and martial arts. It goes much further. It focuses on personal development which enhances self image and becoming a better and more productive citizen.
Dr Lockhart's Center for Personal Development is not another Karate school. It was voted the #1 Karate school in the San Antonio area at the Nickelodeon's Award Website.
I am a student, a parent and very proud to be part of this Center. The House of Lockhart is my Center for Personal Development and together we will empower women, children and all victims of domestic violence to end the abuse.

It is time to put a stop to Domestic Violence and each one of us has an effective weapon against it. With the Martial Arts we can address many of the victims needs, including a vital one: improving self-esteem. I want to make this a call to all of you. It's a wake up call. Ask yourself: What can I do? How can I help? No matter what your education or training is nor what your abilities are, you can help a domestic violence victim! Sign up with GurlFytrz today, volunteer your time, prayer skills or donations and together will stop domestic violence!

I feel this is a great endorsement for the women that are stuck in a situation and in need of help.I know first hand about domestic violence and seen many people I love go through this. I wonder if somthing like this could have been presented to those that needed it before there outcome became different which in turn changed there entire life.
