Rent Your College Textbooks - Help Save Our Environment!

Think Green and Save College Money Too!

Visionary
Here's a great way to fight back ,contribute to the environment ,and save on college costs too! I discovered this web site while searching for college textbooks that didn't cost an arm and a leg. First of all, I have a real problem with instructors and professors that list required textbooks that cost over $60.00. Whether you're an undergraduate, or a graduate student, who has money to pay for a textbook that costs $100.00? Even more outrageous is that there is no way you'll get a fair resell price even if you can sell the book back to the seller or another venue. Recently I sold a textbook I was required to purchase at the horrendous price of $174.00 to a half price book-type store and was given $1.00 for it. This is often true whether you have highlighting or marks or the book is free of any markings or damages. And let's face it, half the time textbooks aren't bought back at all-for a variety of reasons. I have a child in college like many others and I am struggling to keep her there with skyrocketing tuition and school loans; not to mention the cost of her required textbooks! Her books this fall will cost over $300.00 at the Big Ten university she attends. Give me a break!

So, what can we do?

Well, the people at www.chegg.com have come up with an excellent way you can do your part to help save our trees and our troubled environment by thinking GREEN while saving on textbook costs at the same time! I love this place! Also, they didn't bombard me with a lot of spam mail after I rented from them. I recall getting only one or two email offers from them to which I requested they remove my email address from their general mail list and it was done, promptly. These folks are great! Customer Service Representatives are extremely helpful and polite as well.

So, instead of buying high priced textbooks with little or no return, check out the chegg.com web site that allows you to rent textbooks for a term, quarter, or semester at a huge discount (as much as 80%).

When it is time to return your rented textbook, Chegg provides you with an invoice and paid return postage. And, if you or your student/child need additional time for usage of the texts you've rented, go to the website and request an extension for yet another huge discount.

They will also send you an email reminder well in advance telling you how many days you have until your rented textbooks are due for return. I have rented textbooks for my graduate program for less than 1/3 of what it would have cost me to purchase the texts. One textbook was going to cost me over $100.00. I found it at Chegg.com for less than $40.00 (and again; they paid the postage for me to send it back to them). One important note. Don't wait until the last minute. Give them enough time to send your textbook during heavy college enrollment terms.

During these tough times when gas is at all time highs, college tuition is beyond outrageous, and simple living and taking care of our families is a daily challenge, there is a light at the end of the tunnel THAT ALSO SAVES TREES!

Do yourself and the environment a great service-and save some bucks too!

Best of luck and think green! We need it now more than ever before!
