The XBOX LIVE Marketplace offers a massive variety of TV shows and movies. TV shows from the CSI series, South Park, shows from Adult Swim like Family Guy and Robot Chicken just to name a few. Most of the popular TV shows out now can be found on XBOX LIVE Marketplace. TV shows will typically run you around 200 Microsoft points which 500 Microsoft Points will cost you $6.25 so you can get two TV shows for around $5 basically. Each TV show will vary in size based on how long they are and whether or not they are in HD or not.
Movies work the same way pretty much. They will cost you more and your not keeping the movie forever. You can keep a movie download from somewhere of a week to two weeks. You have at least 14 days to watch it before it expires. Microsoft is pretty up to date with their movies they release and you can find classics along with new released on the marketplace. Movies will run you around 300 to 400 Microsoft points and usually more if you download them in HD.
Most movies are at least a 1GB or more and this is where a 120GB hard drive really comes in handy. It can take quite a while to download a movie but normally it's easier than running all the way into the video store. With this you won't have to return the movie since it expires on it's own and it's always available for you.
You also have the option to download music videos which usually you can get for free but I've only seen them once so I'm not sure if they charge you for those or not. I would certainly hope not since that's a rip off to buy music videos on there since you can just get them for free on your PC. I never gave this much attention since the variety really wasn't there so I just don't look at them very much.
This is just another nice feature of XBOX LIVE Marketplace that is quickly gaining more and more attention. I've only downloaded a few movies and TV shows but it's indeed a very nice feature since I won't have to buy an entire season of a TV show just to see the episodes I want to see. You will no longer have to run out to rent movies when you can just do it from your XBOX 360. It will never be sold out and you don't have to pick it up or return it and will cost you around the same as most people.
