Renting B Movies for the Latex

Normally they are the movies you see in Blockbuster but never rent. Those movies that went straight to video, or only got a theatrical release overseas, or if even shown in theaters in this country only did so at film festivals or art houses. As far as you are concerned they are movies you never heard of and have no interest in renting, and even wonder why anyone else would rent such crap. Actually, these movies rent quite well, otherwise your local video store would never bother to order them. Most of those who rent them do so because they are open minded and want to see something that is not the standard predicable Hollywood formula picture. But there is a growing number of renters who seek out these movies because they contain scenes of an actress wearing latex, PVC or some other fetish material.

This was the case with the movie Heart of Midnight, a low budget thriller that featured a picture of actress Jennifer Jason Leigh wearing a tight laced up latex dress on the box. In the movie Jennifer plays a troubled girl with a history of being institutionalized inheriting a seemingly haunted nightclub from her late uncle. The end of the movie has her knocked out while investigating some noises and awakening to find herself wearing the latex dress and chained to the wall. Another sought after B movie is Walk All Over Me starring Leelee Sobieski who becomes a dominatrix wearing the occasional latex and PVC outfits. In the movie Thursday model Paulina Porizkova plays a drug dealer looking for stolen drugs and money. Wearing a short red latex dress she tries to torture the location of the stolen money from the man she believes stole it, threatening to sex him to death. In the movie Gene Generation Bai Ling plays a latex wearing assassin hunting down bio-hackers who are able to hack into peoples DNA.

Some of the better known B movies did well at the box office. From Beyond was another horror movie directed by Stuart Gordon based on a story by H.P. Lovecraft. A year earlier Stuart had directed another H.P. Lovecraft movie called Re-Animator which did well at the box office and received a lot of buzz as an instant cult classic. From Beyond featured many of the same actors from Re-Animator as a sort of sequel, although the actors were playing different characters. In the video stores it was sought out because of a scene where Barbara Crampton dons a leather bustier and high heels. Another sought-after movie was the fourth installment in the Child's Play franchise called Bride of Chucky. In the movie Jennifer Tilly wears a short black latex dress and revives the Chucky doll only to have it murder her. In the movie In the movie Bitter Moon French actress Emmanuelle Seigner does a lot of sexy things such as a very seductive floor dance that is popular on Youtube. But it is a scene where she puts on a tight red latex dress that has attracted fetish aficionados

Some of the sought-after movies are hard to find, out of print, or only available as European imports. They include Rip it Off, where singer Sophie B Hawkins plays a waitress in a bar who serves beer wearing a black latex catsuit. In the movie Hot Blooded actress Kari Wuhrer plays a flirtatious girl at a truck stop who wears a tight vinyl outfit of black pants, bustier and short jacket. The Australian low budget thriller Subterano features a small group of people trapped in a parking garage where they are forced to play a game where they are hunted by killer toys. At one point in the movie actress Tasma Walton removes her jacket to reveal she is wearing an ultra-tight light blue latex top. But perhaps the most sought after hard to find movie with fetish fashion is called Girl in 3D where a sadistic rock star forces one of his fans, played by Bevin Tucker, to wear a black latex catsuit and be tied up in his basement while he torments her. Although these movies are hard to find, occasionally sites like Netflix have copies they rent out, although many times the renter decides to keep the DVD for himself.
