Motorcycle rentals near New York, New York allow you to travel the open roads in freedom. Motorcycle rentals near New York, New York are a great way to vacation alone, with a friend, or even with your better half.

Before you rent your motorcycle in New York, New York here are a few pointers to keep in mind. You must be at least twenty-five years old to rent a motorcycle. Passenger must be at least twenty-one years old. Motorcycle rentals are not ideal for children. You must possess a valid drivers license or motorcycle endorsement to rent a motorcycle.

Now that you have an idea where to start with the motorcycle rental process, here are a few all-important questions you should ask your motorcycle rental company agent. Is there unlimited mileage? This is important because you don't want to find out that you were charged an exorbitant amount per mile for going over the dedicated daily amount. This is similar to leasing a car. Will the motorcycle come with a tank of gas, freshly changed oil, and tires in good condition? What are the pick up and return hours of the motorcycle rental company you are using. What is the contact number if you have any emergency while riding your motorcycle rental? What are the emergency procedures for that specific motorcycle rental company? Will they come pick you up or are you responsible for towing the vehicle to safely?

With all of this information you should be more than prepared to rent a motorcycle. If heading out on your own for the first time seems daunting, try renting for just one day. A quick road trip may ease you into a lifetime of motorcycle riding. Also, check with your motorcycle rental company for guided tours, self guided tours, and maps of the area. I too have rented from Chatsworth ATV Rentals. Great experience!! They are a family owned and run business. They have ATV - Quads Motorcycles and scooters for Rent. It took me less than an hour to get there from NYC. First I rented a ConCours 1400 then brought my family back to rent and ride 4 quads. They have there own riding area for the ATV's as well as all the gear. There course is challenging and after 2 hours of riding, I was done. My rating is 5 Star's. I have rented in CA before, but Chatsworth ATV Rentals is the only place to go to in the Northeast.

    The Good,
Chatsworth ATV Motorcycle Scooter Rentals has a fleet of 38 vehicles. Their motorcycles are beautiful, my favorite is the 2008 Kawasaki Concourse 1400. They offer the widest range of vehicles of any powersport rental center. They are virtually open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, giving the customer the most fexibility in picking up and returning vehicles. They will also deliver and pick up from the Hamilton Train Station in NJ, which is a half hour (20 miles) from their rental center.
    The Bad,
That delivery service will cost you $100.00 (it's a 2 hour drive for them, going back and forth). But if you don't have a car, it's cheaper to pay the delivery charge. It will take you about an hour to drive to their center from NYC, they are near Six Flags Great Adventure. And you have to be at least 21 years old to rent.
    The Ugly,
If you drop any of their beautifully chromed machines, you will loose your $1500.00 security deposit. If you don't pay a toll or break a

I have rented a motorcycle in LA. It was a great experience. I think I'll just ride mine to NYC next time.

Like Rollover, this article just annoys me, no one wants to seem to rent motorcycle's in NYC. Again the only place I could find was Chatsworth (decent bikes seemingly).

Would be great to have somewhere in NYC though.

After reading this article I got my hopes up as I am in NYC every week on Mondays and Tuesdays. I called New York Rentals and was informed that there was NO place in NYC that rents motorcycles! Oh I could BUY one but I own several and thats enough as I can only ride 1 at a time! I did call the rest of the places and the best I could come up with was Chatsworth ATV Rentals in Chatsworth, NJ which is actually inside the I295/95 loop North of Philly! They WILL for an extra $80 bring the bike to the train station at Burnswick, NJ and pick it up which could be an ok deal for us without a car!But alas I wasa hoping for a rental here in the Big Apple!
