Problem#1: Capacity Error - iPods need something called "buffer space" to function properly. This is the space needed to process things, and load. If you have put too much information on your iPod it may "overload" and you will get an error message that says, "Sufficient Buffer Space Not Available." If this comes up remove some of the data from your iPod and make sure not to put too much on it again.
Problem#2: Data Corruption - If you have loaded a corrupted file, onto your iPod you may lose some of your data. If this happens open up the system repair utility on your iPod and follow the directions. This will take care of the corrupted file and return your iPod back to normal working order.
Problem#3: Freezing - iPods can freeze and hang up for a number of reasons. The most common ones are,; not having the proper software on your computer that is compatible with the IPod, trying to play a corrupted file or using the controls repeatedly and not giving it proper time to load. If your iPod is freezing while you have it attached to your computer, there may be adware on your system and you should run a check and remove any problem files. If your iPod freezes while you are playing music simply hold your power button down and restart it.
Problem#4: Volume Formatting - If you can't open a volume file on your iPod, you may have put on an infected file or not have shut down your iPod properly. Always make sure your virus software on your computer is up to date and always checking your music and files. That way infected files will not make it onto your iPod. You should never remove your battery unless you have properly shut down your iPod and it is off.
If the above solutions have not fixed your problems, and you have lost important significant data, iPod recovery software is available.
iPod recovery software is an application that you can buy online. This software is able to restore all of the data you have lost from your iPod. These programs search your iPod for any files that have been deleted or corrupted. It will then restore it to its original state and you can pick which files you want back. Using these techniques will keep your iPod in good working order and able you to enjoy your music and other important things kept on there.
