I will be referencing the King James version of the Bible, specifically the New Testament, the teachings of John the Baptist, and Jesus the Christ. I will be quoting verses from different passage'˜s, it will be up to you the reader, to read the entire passage for a complete comprehension.
I will adding my own simple thoughts to each verse, I quote. Please feel free to share your thoughts on the comment section, and reference the paragraph you are referring to.
"In these days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea. And saying, Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying. The voice of one crying in the wilderness. Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight." Mathew 3:1-3
John the Baptist was telling people, repent for the chosen son of God, was coming soon.
I will also tell you repent for the Lord of Lords, King of Kings will return soon.
"Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders. Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? See thou that. And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself." Mathew 27:3-5
Judas sold his soul for a couple of bucks, and couldn't live with himself. This has happened countless times throughout the history of man. The diamonds, gold and silver aren't worth your soul.
"John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins" Mark 1:4
"And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins." Luke 3:3
These two verse's are self explanatory. Repent, Repent, Repent and be forgiven.
"Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much; but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven." Luke 7: 47-48
If you love Christ, and ask forgiveness, you will be forgiven. Jesus has the power to forgive you of your sins. Ask and you shall receive.
"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:3
In this verse we learn, you will perish, unless you repent, and ask forgiveness of sins.
"Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damaged by us in nothing."
Corinthians 7:10
Repent and receive forgiveness.
"Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep; let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness." James 4:8-9
In these verse's we learn that we should turn from evil, repent for our sins, and our pain will be turned to happiness. If we fail to repent, our happiness turned in to mourning.
"And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds." Revelation 2:21-22
Unless you repent your sins, you will never see the Kingdom of Heaven. Repent, Repent, Repent, I say.
"How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her; for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her." Revelation 18:8-9
Those who fail to repent will be destroyed, swiftly.
I have chosen only to use the New Testament for this article, please be advised the Old Testament is filled with teachings of repentance, and in much greater detail, so please take the time to study yourself, and repent.
I have mentioned in other articles, that the only prayer, that is needed, is the Our Father, as taught by Jesus the Christ, that is all that is needed for prayer. However, we must repent for our sins, with our actions, and our words. Repent, Repent, Repent, I say.
I offer you the following simple prayer, that I use to ask for forgiveness.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to you this day, in the name of Jesus the Christ, and I repent, I repent, I repent, for my sins. I seek your forgiveness, and the forgiveness of those I have sinned against. It is only in you, that I may be forgiven of my sins, I have forgiven those who have sinned against me, and seek forgiveness from you heavenly Father. Please wipe my slate clean, and refill my spirit with the Holy Ghost. I trust wholly in you, and believe that you will forgive me of my sins, in agreement to your will, so your plans shall be established and succeed.
In Jesus' name, amen.
I hope this has been helpful.
Good day to all

Post a CommentAmen Donald. Time is short and there is nothing in the Bible that must happen prior to Christ's return, meaning that He could return at any moment. I hope & pray someone will read this and act today while it is still called today.
