Reports of Miraculous Cures Using Alternative Medicine

Craig Olson
Introduction
There have been many reports of miraculous cures, but most of them have been with alternative medicine.
In fact, there have been so many such reports that I may have to write articles in installments in order to do justice to them.
Ocular Issues
There have been reports of nutritional treatments for glaucoma and for cataracts (1-3).
"There have been quite a few papers published on reducing intraocular pressure with high oral doses of vitamin C. About 15 of them are discussed in a wonderful book with the unassuming title of The Healing Factor, written by Irwin Stone." Andrew Saul (4)
Cancer
Ref. 5 favors vitamin E to fight cancer.
Heart Disease
"Heart disease is the number one killer in the United States, and the evidence supporting vitamin E's efficacy in preventing and reversing heart disease is overwhelming." Dr. Andrew Saul
Alzheimer's Disease
Epidemiological evidence supports a role for vitamin E supplementation in preventing Alzheimer's disease (6).
Stroke
A low plasma vitamin C was found to increase the risk of stroke (7). Vitamin E gradually melts fresh clots and prevents embolism (8).
Drugs
Ref. 9 reports that prescription drugs kill over 100,000 people per year. Unfortunately psychiatric drugs can cause heart problems, weight gain, diabetes, Parkinsonism, glaucoma, etc.
Cholesterol
I have lowered my cholesterol down to 132 using the vegan diet and an orthomolecular regimen of vitamins and fish oil. I also take soluble fiber, which fights against cholesterol. Previously my cholesterol was over 200.
Conclusions
It can be concluded that the orthomolecular route makes a lot of sense. I have lowered my weight to 168 lbs., which is the lowest I've been since childhood. I am 6'3" tall. That is about right for my height. I did this using the vegan diet.
