Reports Say Pentagon Shooter John Patrick Bedell was 911 Truther, Anti-Bush Zealot and Anti-military

Marc Schenker
Reports from several, credible sources say that the Pentagon shooter, John Patrick Bedell, was a 911 Truther, an anti-Bush zealot and, just for good measure, anti-military. Bedell was the shooter (terrorist?) who unsuccessfully attempted to storm the Pentagon late yesterday and inflict many fatalities before being fatally shot and dying, hours later, in a nearby hospital. The extent of his damage was minor-two cops with grazing wounds-but the implication of just who he was and what his now all-important motive was will be very severe. Early this morning, many sources are reporting that Bedell was a 911 conspiracy theorist/nut who believed the WTC towers came down in a demolition; was angry at the US government for enforcement of marijuana laws; was an anti-Bush zealot; had links to the University of California, San Francisco; and was an anti-military zealot regarding a supposed "cover-up" in the 1991 death of Marine Col. James Sabow.

Don't count on the liberal, mainstream media to report anything coming even close to the truth about the Pentagon shooter since all reports heavily indicate he was a liberal, based on his gripes, politics and locale. However, here's what a collection of reports knows thus far about John Patrick Bedell, 36:

First, going back to 2006, Bedell recorded some worrisomely creepy and fanatical-sounding internet opinions (read: ramblings), which rail against apparent "criminal organizations" (Bush-Cheney reference??) within the US government for perpetrating the 911 terrorist attacks and also prosecuting the war in Iraq. Without a doubt, this sounds like talking points from any run-of-the-mill, left-wing group that was ticked off at Bush for liberating Iraq! Additionally, Bedell also railed against US government control of private property and the economy in those same internet ramblings; remember, these recordings were done in 2006, way before the Obama bailouts and stimulus. So what must be kept in mind here is, if Bedell was already so on-the-edge during Bush's presidency, just imagine how much more Obama's increasing takeover of the US economy during 2009 pushed him over the edge!

Next, we have internet postings from Bedell which suggest that he was both a 911 Truther and harbored resentment against the US military due to more conspiracy theory beliefs, this time relating to the 1991 death of Marine Col. James Sabow. Writing under the name JPatrick Bedell, the shooter wrote that he was "determined to see that justice is served" in Sabow's death. Though this death was ruled a suicide, the case has nonetheless bred a whole underground, internet community which believes the conspiracy theory that the death was instead a cover-up. As for his 911 Truther beliefs, Bedell insinuated that he believed the WTC towers were demolished as in a controlled explosion when he wrote that the Sabow case was "a step toward establishing the truth of events such as the September 11 demolitions."

The same internet postings also berate the US government regarding its enforcement of marijuana laws; these link to the shooter's 2006 court case in Orange county for cultivating marijuana as well as resisting a cop. Clearly, anger towards marijuana laws and even the cultivation of marijuana itself just flesh out the growing body of evidence that Bedell's belief system was liberal.

As for the anti-Bush zealotry-in addition to the aforementioned ranting against the Iraq war-there also exists a link to the shooter's apparent Amazon user profile (who can make this stuff up, huh?!) which, again, just confirms increasingly the profile of a typical liberal. Among his many favorite books that he long desired while alive apparently? Why, just the usual, typical, liberal, reading selections: The Immaculate Deception: Bush Crime Family Exposed, Family of Secrets: The Bush Dynasty, the Powerful Forces that put it in the White House, and What Their Influence Means for America, and The Commission: The Uncensored History of the 911 Attacks.

Additionally, at the time of this writing, the Amazon wish list for J. Patrick Bedell lists a Karen Bedell and her address in Hollister, California, as the shipping destination. The California shipping address all but confirms that the list is the shooter's since an AP story has Bedell's parents' home-in which he was said to be residing-in...you guessed it...Hollister, California. So by locale, which is a left-coast, liberal state, the profile for this shooter keeps getting more solidly liberal. Not to mention, yet another internet posting with his name on it supplies his e-mail address at a department of the University of California, San Francisco.

The political/ideological leanings of this Pentagon shooter would ordinarily not be important if-and only if-the liberals who monopolize the mainstream media hadn't been ruthlessly unfair and obsessed with delivering low blows as they did by linking right-wingers and Tea Party supporters to criminals/terrorists like the man in Texas who flew his plane into an IRS office. Thus, nowadays, it becomes almost a requirement to research the backgrounds of these killers just to guard against more, unjustified, liberal media bomb-throwing. The only remaining, really important question is this, Will the liberal, mainstream media tell the truth about John Patrick Bedell-based on all the evidence of reports, more than likely a liberal conspiracy theorist, marijuana supporter and anti-military guy-or will they brand him a conservative Tea Party person? We'll soon know, but in the meantime, reports like this one are essential.

LOL!!! THis guy finally got sick and tired of living under a bunch of scumbags. U.S government is single-handedly ruining the world. Look around people. Question what the media portrays. After all, the media outlets are all owned, operated, and filtered by the government.

Actually, Miss Janey, what's truly shameful is your dishonest accusation that I'm not being respectable by exposing the Pentagon shooter for what he was: a die-hard liberal. See, if you notice, my article has many hyperlink sources scattered throughout. If you would've been smart instead of hyper-emotional, you would have stood to educate yourself about Bedell's ideological background. Sites like Michelle Malkin's as well as Patterico's have shown this guy was a Democrat-registered voter who ranted about 911 Truther conspiracies. How you can ignore this and fabricate phony outrage about me exposing him for what he is is truly insane. As O'Reilly says, "Wise up, Madam!!"

Actually...the guy was severely bi polar. What are the several credible sources? This is so sad. You take a mentally ill guy and try to turn him into a liberal boogeymasn for your own amusement, You asked me to read your stuff but all I see is writing that is not objective, asserts the right fringe and material that seems more concerned with stirring up the divide in our country rather than doing anything constructive.
I choose to keep the opinions of R. Murdoch out of my house so Fox b.s. does not show on my tv...nor does far left b,s, but this was ridiculous and making a liberal scapegoat out of a severely mentally ill person is shameful.

I vividly recall the libs on AC (and elsewhere) blaming right wing/tea party ideology on the death of the Kentucky Census worker, which ended up being a suicide. and with these developments you have so eloquently pointed out...a hush falls over the progressive & libertarian crowd...false flag operation anyone ;-)

It's something every day. I want to see the day that nothing, absolutely nothing horrid happens.

Colonel James Sabow?....Hmmm...seem to recall that suicide was memtioned with regard to the illegal drug business of the 1990s in Mena,Arkansas. Weren't there some people trying to tie Bill Clinton into that conspiracy? Interesting article--I didn't know the half of it.
