Thank you, I think we know each other well enough to know that neither of us is an idiot. And I'm sorry that you're going through some hard times and I hope things get better. You know I wish you well, I still care about you kid and I still think it's real unfortunate the way things were left off when you left, but I certainly want nothing but happiness and good things for you.

As for the election, you know I am socially liberal, you know I am pro-choice, pro-gay rights, you know I'm not prejudice, I was never a Bush supporter, and that I am far from being some rich fat-cat. You also know I'm a thinker-- not that what I think is always right, but when I take a stance, you know I'm a person who usually backs it up with logic and reason. I encounter anger like yours a lot towards the Republican candidates, which I think is largely due to prejudice and biased media hype that has seriously distorted the facts about these candidates, such as Palin and the book banning hoax and McCain b

...wow, that will teach me not to say things when I'm A) very upset over other, unrelated things, and B) frustrated by ACTUAL idiots who do things like say they support McCain because "Obama is a terrorist".

I apologise, that was... not how I should have said that. Honestly, I don't do well having rational conversations about this because McCain and Palin make me so ANGRY in so many ways that I just start getting worked up and... well, you see the results. You do not deserve the name-calling, especially from me. I'm currently very worked up and upset about some other things that are much more immediately pressing to my life than the presidential race. My normal "I really don't know enough about this to have more than a gut-instinct reaction to these things and therefore should not say anything because that would reduce me to trolling" filter apparently didn't work.

-_- I apologise from the bottom of my heart. Honestly. Gods, I need to not say words sometimes.

Evie, I am always open to debate as I have strong, legitimate arguments for why I am supporting McCain-Palin. I do not, in fact, think Obama would be better for this country, but by all means if you think you can prove it to me, e-mail me.

But can we use terms like "wrong" instead of "idiot" and remain civil? We all want what is best for this country, we just disagree-- we don't have to hate each other for having a different opinion. And do I really deserve name-calling? And do I (or H for that matter) deserve it from you, of all people?

I think you're both idiots for thinking he'll be better for this country.

But I've already told your daughter that.
