After all, take a look at their record. They took Bill Clinton's surpluses and turned them into deficits as far as the eye could see. They are responsible for the ridiculous free trade policy that has favored corporate America. They have taken us to a war that they lied about and then messed up the policy when they got there. They have the health care system wrecked. They have wrecked the environment, soared energy prices, and then ran on a campaign to hijack religion, while we find out that they were fake Christians with the scandals they were embroiled in. Sure the Democrats had their scandals too, but the Republicans run on being religious and clean. So when they get caught with scandal after scandal, it shows that they really are a bunch of sleaze bags that they accuse the Democrats of being. Just ask Larry Craig, Mark Foley, David Vitter, and other Republicans about that.
The moral values wouldn't even be important for the campaign if it wasn't for the Republicans injecting it there. After all, the Republicans use this tactic to diverse attention from their failed policies to something they can trick retarded church going people into electing them. Without that voting block, the Republicans would be only a party that 2% of the country would vote for because their base is only made up of the very rich without them. So, they almost have to use religion and hijack it to get the retarded religious people to vote for them, especially when they are wrong on every issue, as I just pointed out.
Every policy has been a failure under the Republican leadership, such as the record debt George Bush and the Republican controlled Congress have spent since 2001. From 1998 to 2001, our budget was set up to where we took more money in than we paid out, which gave us surpluses. Ever since, that has been the opposite trend. Back in the 90s, President Bill Clinton had the national debt at $5 trillion dollars. Now under this idiot, we have the national debt back up at $9 trillion, which is mainly due to the war and out of control spending that has happened under this administration. The trade debt also increased and now is billions and billions of dollars, which has also weakened the dollar and skyrocketed prices, which is affecting many middle class families. When middle class families suffer, then the economy suffers.
Lately under this Republican administration, the economy has also tanked when it comes to job creation. We have lost over 65,000 jobs the previous month, mainly because of the mortgage crisis (also caused by Bush's record home ownership) and the free trade policies, which have been ridiculous in hurting American workers and businesses from competing with overseas cheap labor. Therefore, when it comes to the economy, the Republicans have made it so the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Ever since Bush took office, I actually haven't recalled one thing these idiots in the SOP (Scum Old' Party) have done right.
Then on top of a bad economy, we have the shame of going into a country that we shouldn't have gone to in the first place. By that, I mean Iraq. When we first went into war with Iraq, the argument was over WMDs, Saddam being linked to al-Qaeda, and bringing democracy to the Middle East. They have said this argument over and over again before the invasion and the right wing media on NBC and Fox bought it like a pack of wolves as well as the people. It is now five years later and I have still yet to see any proof. So I must ask people like Sean Hannity, Bill O Reilly, Tim Republicert Russert, and the rest of their despicable networks where the proof is that Saddam was linked to terrorists and had WMDS. I also must ask them where the hell we see democracy in the Middle East by what these morons and neocons in the White House did. I bet they can't provide it, just like they couldn't define victory after it was asked to them time and time again by Democrats and other fair media sources.
Therefore, we should have never gone into Iraq to being with. However, let me ask this question to you. If we did have to go into Iraq, don't you think we should have planned this strategy out as carefully as we could so we could finish the job and bring the troops home successful there? The Bush Administration, Fox and NBC News, and the neocons didn't think so. Instead, they rushed us into there without a plan. When we went into Iraq, we had too few troops, bad body armor, open borders with Iran, Syria, and Saudi Arabia, and no plan for political reconciliation there. Therefore, we had few too many years with unacceptable chaos and violence, killing our American soldiers and it was all because we didn't secure the borders with the neighboring countries, started a political solution, and protect our soldiers enough. The SOP likes to say that the Democrats hate the troops, but when they don't give the right strategy for victory and the right equipment to do that, don't you think that it is the SOP that hates the troops? If you need any other proof, look at what happened at the Walter Reed Hospital that holds wounded vets. That also shows hatred to our troops in my judgment.
This war has also helped do two other things. One is that it raised the energy prices and two is that it made terrorism tougher to beat since we radicalized Muslims there. Therefore, we have higher gas prices due to the chaos there, which hurt the economy and we have terrorism weak. This war even missed us a great chance to catch Bin Laden at Tora Bora Afghanistan because the administration and neocons cut and ran from there and diverted the attention to Iraq. Therefore, the world's most wanted man remains on the run and the people who had lost lives in 9/11 still remain without justice.
It is rather disgraceful how we have fought the war on terror under this idiotic president. After all, he claims he is tuff on terrorism when he couldn't even handle Hurricane Katrina well down at the Gulf Coast, when he had open borders and ports, and when he has radicalized terrorism around the world through wrong policies. Therefore, the Republicans who claim to be tuff on terror couldn't even handle the terrorism issue well. That is why you have seen the Democrats gain on that issue. They know the Republicans can't be trusted with our safety.
There are just so many other issues we can touch upon. Through this entire article, issues like health care, education, and others haven't even been touched. Those are important issues, but the economy and the war remain the most important and in my judgment, the Republicans failed on them. They have failed on every issue actually. This is why in my "Defeatocrats" article; I said that the Democrats should win this election easily. They won in 2006 due to the failures of the Republican Party, but this time around looks to be different. I say it is a major shame that the Republicans who can't do anything would even have a chance at winning the election this time. Maybe it is because of the retarded religious people again, but it is also because of the Democrats and their problems I described in the other issue. Still, if you want the Republicants back in power, just remember, things will continue to decline. After all, the Republicants can't do one single thing right.
