One Friday evening my wife and I set out to find something new for dinner, we had received some VIP cards for McAlister's Deli from a family member so we decided to give it a try. Upon entering this deli style restaurant we were greeted by friendly employees and the manager. The service at the counter was quick and helpful since this was our first time there. The only problem I could find was even though the menu board is very large to display the variety of soups, sandwich's, and salads that they offer but the print on the descriptions of items is fairly small and hard to read from a short distance across the counter so we had to lean in to view the list of side items and ingredients.

After minutes of deciding I chose the Memphian as my sandwich, with a side dish of potato salad, and a large drink. My Wife opted for a Chicken Cesar Wrap, with coleslaw and a large sweet tea. We both decided to try their exceptionally large chocolate chip cookies as a dessert item. Most of the menu items were reasonably priced for the portions we received, prices ranged from $4.99-6.99 per sandwich.

We received our large drink cups, they filled our drinks for us, and we took our seats at a clean table. We were only waiting a matter of minute's until our order arrived, served to us by a friendly and wholesome looking cashier and server. Our sandwiches were huge; the Memphian that I had order was piled with roast beef, ham, and turkey and provolone cheese. My wife's Chicken Cesar Wrap as equaling stuffed with chicken, lettuce and Cesar style dressing in a low carbohydrate whole wheat wrap. On each of our plates were a delicious Schwartz kosher dill pickle and our respective side dishes were an equally generous portion of coleslaw and potato salad.

The McAlister's Deli that we visited is located at 2323 Missouri Boulevard in our home town of Jefferson City, Missouri. The Deli's dining area was decorated with neatly framed prints of local baseball, basketball, and other high school, collage, and park's and recreation sport's team's logos and memorabilia. This added a unique touch since most of the restaurants in town that decorated with local sports memorabilia just seemed to carelessly have items cluttered on the walls.

They advertised numerous items and services offered by McAlister's Deli such as catering, and sweet tea in gallon jugs, in addition to their large menu of deli style sandwich's, soups, and salads. The employee's all were friendly and check on our table regularly to see if we needed anything else, the manager seemed to be on the ball and friendly by keeping the employees busy cleaning the dining room and caring for customers needs.

Over all we had a great experience with this visit to our local McAlister's Deli, and look forward to returning soon. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a casual meal with quick service and a friendly atmosphere.
