Resident Evil 4 was first released in 2005 to much praise and many see the game as one of the all time best. The game brought all new heights to the action genre of gaming. RE4 has worked its way up the ranks through the Gamecube, PS2 and PC versions to finally find itself released for the Nintendo Wii system. Some gamers see the Wii version as the best interpretation of the game so far.

Resident Evil 4 follows up on main character Leon Kennedy who is a former police officer trying to escape the horrible memories of Raccoon City. Lean has found a new job as an agent for the president. When the president's daughter gets kidnapped, it's up to Leon to find a way to return her. When Leon gets on location to do the job he finds something very strange about the people in the area.

Even if you've played this game before, you will want to give it a spin on the Wii. Resident Evil 4 features what many believe to be the best gameplay in the entire Resident Evil series. There are no fixed camera angles here, you follow in the footsteps of Leon with a view from over his shoulder. The game looks great in full 3D and performs excellently. The detail in this virtual world is stunning. Resident Evil 4 also delivers a fantastic gaming challenge to any level gamer.

As you play this game on the Wii you will notice that things are much different than previous versions. Luckily, there has been no large scale control or movement issues to date as some other game released for Wii have suffered from. The controls are surprisingly smooth and easy to navigate. You'll be using the Wii Remote and nunchuck for a variety of tasks including dodging and cutting a rope. The inventive use of controls offers a unique experience in the Wii version of RE4 that you won't want to miss. Resident Evil 4 also allows you to use a classic controller if that is more your speed. It's great to have the option of both control options, but you'll find yourself having much more fun with the Wii remote and nunchuck. Once you get used to using them you won't be able to imagine playing the game without them.

While there are no Wii exclusive extras in this version, you definitely don't want to miss out on this game if you are a fan of the Resident Evil series. The fluid gameplay and awesome storyline make this video game one you will want to own.
