Resident Evil 5 Limited Edition Xbox 360

The recently released Resident Evil 5 game is by far the best of the series. I have been a Resident Evil fan from the very beginning. The series has had some excellent releases, and also some not so great releases. This review will cover a bit of the game, and also the red console.

The game has improved on almost every aspect of the past releases. There is a new saving system which does not require you to find the typewriters any more. Puzzles have been reduced drastically and have become much easier to complete. Also, the storage system has become much easier to organize and control.

The new co-op system is great, and makes it a great game to play with a friend. Even without playing with a friend the computer AI is very intelligent and very helpful.

The game is a bit long, and will keep you playing for quite a while. The replay value is very high with additional options after beating it for the first time.

As for the console, it is basically a standard elite console with 120 GB hard drive. It is red and comes with a red wireless controller. Be warned, it does not come with a charge and play pack. Also included is the Resident Evil 4 game, and a special theme pack exclusive for the Limited Edition console.

For only $399.99 at retail stores it is a actually a very good deal.

Warning: I, and many others have had many problems with the included Resident Evil game. It will not load. To fix this problem you must install the NXE update to the console. Also, it will stop working every so often in the game after that, up until about the 3rd chapter. I have found that once it happens at one part, it will not happen again, and once you play through the game it happens no more. I am not sure as to why this happens, but it is a pain, but is nothing too serious.

Due to that problem my overall score for the game/console combination is 4 out of 5.
