Residential Parking Permits in Birmingham Are Subject to Review
Neighborhood: Birmingham
Birmingham, MI 48012
United States of America
We all know parking can be difficult if you are in a large spillover zone such as a school zone or commercial area. The city of Birmingham understands and is giving all those who feel they need a permit for their area the opportunity to apply for one. Some rules require 75 percent of the neighborhood to be in agreement, and it can not be in an area where city parking meters are already in place.

Some areas have already been awarded residential parking permits. If your neighborhood already has access to the permits, you can pick them up at the Birmingham Police Department for $8 per household. But if your neighborhood has not received a residential parking permit already, you must apply for one. Below are some of the requirements for residential parking permit eligibility.

Guidelines & Requirements:

Area of consideration must be at least one block

Area must be on at least on side of the street

Can't be given to areas where municipal parking meter already exist

One vote per household
