Resilient
This Poem is Featured in My Book "Once Upon a Time it Rained, an Inspirational Book of Poetry About Life Love and Self Esteem."
Resilient
Keep it going.
Time kept passing me by
Irritation swelled my mind.
Emotions caged,
as depression became me.
Time passed.
God's love never faded.
That spirit he gave me to fight stayed alive.
Even when I couldn't breathe
he sent people my way to remember his name.
My life is his glory.
I must stay alive.
For the spirit that lives in me
rises to each occasion,
when others' have tried to count me out.
The spirit of love
that is resilient even when there's much hate.
The spirit of life.
Resilient, I am my Father's child.
