In Resistance: Fall of Man is by far the most impressive game for Playstation 3. This is a first person shooter that was released November 12, 2006. There is single player mode, cooperative, and multiplayer modes. It is rated mature for blood and gore, intense violence, and strong language.

The game takes place in July of 1951. The Chimera have taken over Europe. They previously took over Russia in the 1930's and stayed there for more than a decade. They launched an attack on Europe in 1949. July 11, 1951 the Americans launch an attack on England's east coast. You play the role of American Sergeant Nathan Hale. It is a mixture of World War 2 action with alien technology.

The graphics graphics and atmosphere that you see are impressive. There is plenty of objects to interact with whether your destroying boxes, refrigerators, blowing up cars, or any number of other objects. There are British soldiers, tanks, and plenty of explosions. The framerate runs at 30 frames per second that taken advantage of the Playstation 3's power and blu-ray capabilities.

If your playing the single player mode, there is more than 20 chapters to play through. Resistance has about 12 to 15 hours of single play. Cooperative mode allows you and a friend to go through the chapters together adding to the fun. Multiplayer mode lets you team up and compete on the Allied Unit or play as the Chimera. You can play multiplayer either online or offline. If your playing online then a broadband connect is required. Choosing ranked game allows you to play against other players and increase rank and earn medals and ribbons. There is 3 types of play to choose from free for all, team, and grab bag. Free for all is a non-team game like deathmatch or conversion. Team is team based games like capture the flag or meltdown. Grab bag lets the computer decide what type of game you will play. You can also do custom games so that you can tailor the setting the way you want to.

Even if your not a fan of shooters, you will probably find this game to be fun. 12 to 15 hours of gameplay might not sound like a lot but with online and offline multiplayer modes it adds quite a bit to the game. There are 4 hidden weapons to find and unlockable secrets to find. I recommend checking Resistance: Fall of Man out, you will not be disappointed.
