With wildfires raging in California, many people are searching the internet and phone directories for resources and information. Below are some helpful resources relating to the wildfires in California.

At the California Resources Agency website, you can obtain wildfire and safety information, including a report of the 2007 fire season, reports on recent incidents and outbreaks, and even tips for promoting fire safety.

CalTrans Highway Conditions. http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/roadinfo/

At California's CalTrans website, you can find current road conditions, including any road closings or unsafe conditions. You can also get this information by dialing 1-800-GASROAD.

Firefighting Resources of California Organized for Potential Emergencies (FIRESCOPE). http://www.firescope.org

At Firescope's website, you can get more information about emergency services, up-to-date fire reports, and fire maps. You can also view fire communications and look up facts on dust and smoke.
