Gameplay
The objective of [RESPAWN] is to get from the red platform to the door. Some doors will require a key to open. There will also be obstacles that will impede your progress. As this is a platformer, there will be platforms of various heights. There are also spikes that you must avoid. Coming into contact with a spike will cause you to restart at the red platform. You have a seemingly unlimited number of lives, so do not worry too much about losing.
Use the Left and Right arrows on your keyboard to run left and right, respectively. Use the A button to jump. You can also restart the level by pressing R. Use the S button on your keyboard to pick up things. You have to stand in front of the object in order to pick the object up. You can try this with the red platform. Press S again to throw the object.
To throw something upwards, directly above you, hold the Up arrow on your keyboard and press the throw button, S.
To throw something further, run while you throw to throw the object further away.
Press M to return to the Main Menu of the game.
On the Main Menu screen of the game, you can find a link to the Level Select screen, where you can select a level to play. Next to each level, you will see a coin shape. If you successfully collect the coin on any level, the coin shape will fill in with a coin. There are a total of 20 levels.
Game Review
[RESPAWN] is a fun little action/puzzle platformer that will test your thinking skills as well as your keyboard dexterity. The music tracks are very fitting and very catchy, keeping players from leaving the game early despite gameplay difficulties. [RESPAWN] is a must-try if you are into platformer games.
