So you try to do everything you know to go green. But what about the restaurants you visit. How green are they? Use our restaurant guide of Oklahoma City restaurants that recycle or serve organic food.

Restaurant Guide to Green Restaurants in North Oklahoma City

1. Red Cup Coffee House, 3122 N. Classen Blvd. serves organic food and fair trade coffee. They also recycle milk jugs, cardboard, newspapers, plastic and glass.

2. Sage Gourmet Cafe & Market, 228 N.E. 2nd St. has a wonderful mission statement: "To serve the finest ingredients in an environmentally conscious manner...... educating the consumer on all healthy, organic and natural foods."

Their Market offers organic products such as eggs, produce, cheese, baked goods, and spices. The cafe and full bar specialize in organic beer and wine and made-in-Oklahoma items such as organic beef.

3. Cafe do Brasil, 440 NW 11th recycles glass. According to manager Sean Bradford, "We serve over 100 types of wine and go through a lot in our full bar. Employees cart off a bag of 40 bottles about 3 times a week to recycle.

4. Cuppies & Joe's at 727 N.W. 23 recycles all they can. They serve homemade cupcakes in 100% corn cups which compost. All their to-go containers are recyclable.

5. Organic Gourmet at 7700 N. May Ave. is an organic catering and food service.

6. Jason's Deli at 4236 NW Expressway offers some organic selections.

7. Trattoria il Centro at 500 W. Main recycles everything including grease. Their co-owner, Maggie Howell says they do everything to become sustainable.

8. The Health Food Center at 7301 S. Pennsylvania serves organic smoothies, coffees, paninis and buffalo burgers.

9. Nonna's Euro-American Restaurante at 1 Mickey Mantle Drive has its own farms called Cedar Spring Farms. They grow for the restaurant. Tomatoes, mixed greens, peppers, herbs, wheat grass and edible flowers are just some of them. They rely on natural predators to control insects and environmentally sound practices based on Disney Epcot Center.

    Great guide to Green Restaurants. The only one we have from your list (in Charleston, SC) is Jason's Deli. This review makes me want to visit Oklahoma City.
