Most restaurants in the DC area are having special inauguration themed menus. Reservations are highly recommended no matter where you go during the January 20th Inauguration.

1. Old Ebbitt Grill restaurant is located directly across the street from the White House. It was built back in 1856 and has been a favorite of many US Presidents.

The dress code is very flexible. You can wear anything and feel comfortable dining here.

The Ebbitt offers great salads, pasta dishes, and seafood as well as traditional American style food.

2. B. Smith's Washington DC restaurant is a must if you appreciate good southern cooking. They offer Creole and Cajun dishes also.

B. Smith's is offering a special weekend brunch during the inauguration. $32.00 for adults and $16.00 for children. The dish called Swamp Thang is fabulous. It has shrimp, crawfish and scallops in a dijon cream sauce. Vegetarians will love the Vegetarian BBQ ribs. Reservations are recommended. You can view the official website here.

A trip to Washington DC for the inauguration would not be complete without a trip to Ben's Chili Bowl.

3. Ben's Chili Bowl restaurant is a famous landmark in Washington DC.

The signature dish at Ben's Chili Bowl is Bill Cosby's Original Chili Half-Smoke.

4. Nage is a fabulous upscale restaurant.

Dinner prices are quite reasonable ranging from $14 - $34. They offer steak, seafood, pasta and even burgers.

5. Bobby Van's Steakhouse restaurant is a top notch steakhouse. A bit pricey but worth every penny.

They offer a wide assortment of steaks, chicken and seafood. The sesame crusted tuna is divine.
