Restaurant Review: 8th Street Grill in Minneapolis
32-Tap Seasonal Beer Flavors: 8th Street Grill in Minneapolis
Minneapolis, MN 56402
United States of America
During 2008, this Minneapolis restaurant received a facelift that included a very nice new wood bar and an upgraded sound system. The exciting part of this 8th Street Grill remodeling project for most patrons is the brand new 32-tap beer dispenser that flows with both wonderful and fantastic choices in seasonal brews to choose from.
The 8th Street Grill restaurant and bar has an outdoor patio with heaters that allows it to be usable 3-seasons per year. Minneapolis restaurants do not allow smoking by ordinance, so for those with a smoking habit this patio area is a luxury with ashtrays that other Minneapolis establishments may not have.
Minneapolis happy hour specials at 8th Street Grill run from 3:00 p.m. until closing at midnight on weekdays, and 1:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturdays. The specials change daily and seem to have about the best prices in this Minneapolis downtown area. As an example, on Tuesdays you can get 3.00 seasonal tap brews and .35 chicken wings to go with them.
8th Street Grill opens for breakfast Monday through Friday at 7:00 a.m. with food offerings in french toast, various pancake delights, and a nice selection of omelets plus side-dish specials. For lunch at the 8th Street Grill the menu selection starts at 4.99 and goes up to about 11.99. This Minneapolis restaurant has sandwiches, soups, burgers, salads, pasta, and a fun list of specialty items like Pecan Crusted Salmon, or a marinated Portabella Mushroom Sandwich. You can not reserve a table at this Minneapolis 8th Street Grill, so plan up to a 30-minute wait for a table during their busy lunch hour rush.
The appetizer listing at the top of the 8th Street Grill dinner menu is extensive and some of the selections appear to be light dinner choices that can be complimented with a side order of fries or a vegetable choice. Choices can be as simple as 8th Street Grill Nachos or as exotic as Calamari, or Lobster Artichoke Dip with Pita Points. These tasty sounding Minneapolis appetizer plates cost between 5.99 and 9.99 at the 8th Street Grill.

Post a CommentI've acually been there and have enjoyed it very much. It sounds like the reviewer above really hasn't been to the restaurant, but just read the online description. The food and service were spot on, some of the more friendly staff in the city plus they have an incredible tap beer selection.
Thanks for your honest review, being specific about their target diner :)
