Restaurant Review of Angus McIndoe in New York City

Angnus McIndoe is located in New York City and has just beautiful! When you see this place you will that it is very expensive when really it is very affordable; in fact it is more affordable than all the restaurants on that street.

The décor is what gives you the feeling that this very expensive! When you walk in it is very narrow, but it goes back what seems like forever. The tables and chairs are only on one side of the room and has low romantic lighting! There is cheery wood, molding and burnt yellow walls. There is even a cute little balcony inside the restaurant for guests to eat at.

This restaurant is located in a very convenient place, so after you are done shopping for the day you don't have far to walk for dinner. The environment is very friendly the food is high quality and the prices are just right.

The only kind of negative thing that I can say is that if you are looking for formal dining this is not the place. It looks deceiving in that way. Although the food is high quality it does not represent formal dining. Also, the waiters are not trained on that level. That does not meant that they are bad at what they do, it just means that you should not expect them to perform like fine dining waiters and waitresses.

The wine list is very reasonable. Most of the wines on list are under $30. Also, when the waiter brings you your bottle of wine they don't pour it for you. That is another sign that this is not a fine dining restaurant. Fine dining restaurants always have their waiters and waitresses pour the wine for you!
For a little appetizer you can order the briny oysters for $16! This is a very reasonable price for oysters. I can almost guarantee you that you will not find them priced lower than this anywhere else! Other appetizer that you might want to try is the blackened tuna which is only $10 and the fried calamari that costs only $9! I told you they were reasonable.

Ask about their special entrees, but I would like to make a recommendation and that is the mild monkfish dish that costs $19. This has been richly marinated in a thick red curry that comes with amazingly flavored fresh vegetables! This is some great mock fine dining if you ask me.
