Restaurant Review: The Bull & Bear in New York City

If you are planning on spending sometime in New York City any time soon and get a major craving for some steak then I am going to recommend Bull & Bear steak! This is located on Lexington Avenue and 49th Street.

I know that there are so many different steakhouses all around the US and even in New York City alone there are many steakhouses. However, there are some things that just set the Bull & Bear apart from the rest!

The thing about this restaurant is that they are the only ones on the east coast that sell Angus prime rib. You can search all around the east coast for Angus prime, but it will only lead you to Bull & Bear Steakhouse! One thing that I was really impressed with is the way they prepare their Angus prime steak. They don't just start the night before. They dry age their Angus prime for three weeks before they serve it to their customers. The dry aging process enriches the flavor and quality of the meat like you would never believe.

The dry aging of the Angus prime also helps to evaporate any excess fat. We know already that anything prime has less fat than the rest. However, this slow aging technique evaporates that fat while holding in all the flavor!

If you are wondering what you should eat with its amazing three week dry aged Angus prime steak then let me tell you. This will go great with Bull & Bear famous cream spinach. I am telling you this is not a time to be on a diet! If you are really concerned about your weight this is not the place to come. Along with the cream spinach I would also like to recommend their French fries. I really don't know what they do to these fries, but they have so much flavor.

Just a warning you might want to come prepared to spend a bit! Since the process of age drying the steak is not an easy process, you will pay more than normal here. I think its worth especially if you are on vacation, its ok to splurge a little bit!

I think that if you go to Bull & Bear Steakhouse you will be spoiled and all other steaks will become inferior in your eyes. So, after you eat steak here be prepare to have higher standards! Now go get yourself some Angus prime!

This writer may not be the most credible food critic since he doesnt know what he is talking about. Prime beef has the highest and best dispursed amount of fat compared to other grades of meat. It is the high fat content that makes prime meat "PRIME" to say the contrary makes the writer seem uneducated about beef.
