Restaurant Review: Cazadores Mexican Grill and Cantina Located in Greeley, Colorado

SE
Cazadores Mexican Grill and Cantina is located in Greeley, Colorado near the King Soopers on 35th Avenue. The first time I saw it, I didn't think much of it: it looked a bit like a dive. A friend dragged me to it and I was surprised by the good food, good service and decent prices.

Cazadores is rather bland looking on the outside, yet inside it looks very festive. Bright colors and fun music give the restaurant a fun atmosphere. On busy nights, the atmosphere remains energetic and casual.

Most Mexican restaurants serve you salsa and chips to snack on while you're waiting for your entrees. Cazadores takes this a step up - they make guacamole at your table. I don't know of another Mexican restaurant that does that and the fresh guacamole tastes great.

The food served at Cazadores is pretty good as well. There are several traditional dishes to choose from, including sopapillas and enchiladas. The food is a little spicy, but not so spicy that those with sensitive mouths can't eat it. Several delicious desserts are available, including flan.

A Mexican restaurant wouldn't be complete without a good margarita, and Cazadores is no exception. The margaritas here are pretty good; they're not too weak or too strong. However, they are a tad big so keep that in mind when ordering them.

The prices at Cazadores are quite reasonable. It is entirely possible for two people to eat dinner for under $20. Drinks and dessert could make your evening more expensive, of course, but if you want a fun night that won't break your wallet this restaurant is safe for you. Local coupon books sometimes contain coupons for Cazadores, like "buy one entrée, get one half off". These coupons make your dinner even friendlier to your wallet.

The service at Cazadores Mexican Grill and Cantina has been great when I've gone. Wait times for a table during the week are minimal. The employees remain friendly and attentive (but not overbearing). Your order is taken quickly, and your beverages and the fresh guacamole are served without much lag time. You are even checked up on throughout the night (once, maybe twice during dinner), which is preferable to chasing down an employee for some help.

Overall, dining at Cazadores Mexican Grill and Cantina is a pleasant experience. You can walk in knowing the night won't break the bank and you will be receiving good food and good service.
