Restaurant Review: Cheesecake Factory in Denver, Colorado

SE
The Cheesecake Factory in Denver, Colorado is located in the 16th Street Mall. It is an Italian restaurant with some great food and the only downside is that it's an hour away from my home. I don't get to this restaurant often, but it's always worth the trip.

The Cheesecake Factory's atmosphere is always pretty fun. At times the restaurant can be a bit noisy with background noise and music, but on a slower night noise isn't an issue. Sometimes the lighting can be a bit dim, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. On very busy nights the wait for a table can be long, so don't show up starving.

If you do end up waiting for a table, you can wait at the bar. The service at the bar is fast and the drinks are good. This can make the wait for a table seem faster and be quite enjoyable.

The bread that Cheesecake Factory serves while you're waiting for your meal is quite tasty. It is always fresh and soft, and the whipped butter they serve with it spreads easily and doesn't tear the bread.

The Cheesecake Factory serves many Italian dishes including pizzas and pastas. Some are traditional, and some have more of a twist (like thai chicken pasta). Every time I visited the Denver location I ordered a blackened chicken pasta dish. However, about a year ago I noticed the dish was absent from the menu so I had to begin exploring the other dishes again.

The Cheesecake Factory does get its name from its desserts. They make and serve a wide variety of cheesecakes and they're all amazing. Basically all dairy food makes me ill, but the cheesecakes here are among the few foods worth the discomfort that is sure to follow.

The menu items are moderately priced: they're not outrageously expensive but if you're expecting $20 to cover dinner, drinks and dessert for two it could be a challenge. However, if you keep that in mind you probably won't have sticker shock when you get the bill.

The service at Denver's Cheesecake Factory has usually been pretty good. On one particular visit, the waiter serving my family's table was not attentive at all and we ended up waiting a half hour after finishing dessert to get our check. Every other time I have gone, the service has been good.

Eating at the Cheesecake Factory in Denver, Colorado is always fun for me - the food is awesome. It would be nicer to have one closer to home, though, although that might lead me to eating there several times a month and draining my pocket book.
