It's really hard to find a restaurant that has good food and affordable prices. I really enjoy visiting new restaurants and trying different food. Also, I really enjoy visiting local own restaurants because the food is more authentic. I have to pass Cook's Hotdogs on my way to the shopping center and this has been going on for a year and a half. It's really hard to miss because the building is bright pink. Today, I decide to stop and try a chili dog.

Cook's hotdogs has a big sign out front that says Cook's Hotdogs and under those letters it says 50's décor. The menu has a 50's feel because it makes you visualize sitting at a drive in eating a burger and shake. I was in a hurry so I decided to order from the drive thru. I drove to the drive thru window and a guy immediately open up the window. The guy was very cordial and asks me for my order. I was very surprise at how cheap the prices were for the food on the menu. Cook's menu is filled with plain hotdog, chili dog, scramble dog, fries, onion rings, hamburgers, and milkshakes. It was my first time at Cook's so I decide to order two chili dogs and fries. The guy asked me did I want the chili dog all the way and I was a little taken back. I asked the guy what's comes on the chili dog all the way. He replied that all way includes pickles and onions. I decided to live dangerously and have my chili dog all the way. The chili dog only costs $1.25 and the fries cost 1.00. I thought these prices were pretty cheap because I don't know many places that I can get a chilidog under $1.50. It didn't take the guy long before he gave me my order and I was on my way to enjoy this classic meal.

The chili was really meaty and the right consistency for a hotdog. In the past, I have purchased chili dogs that were watery and made the bread all soggy. The chili was an original recipe and not a chili from a can. The hotdog was overflowing with chili, onions, and two pickles. The fries were really a miss for me because there wasn't anything special about the fries. There was a little seasoning on the fries but the fries needed more salt.

Cook's hotdogs isn't really a fancy place so don't expect a fine dining restaurant. But, Cook's Hotdogs offers a dining area for people to come in and enjoy a night out. I think I will dine in the next time I visit Cook's Hotdogs. If you really just want to enjoy good classic food at cheap prices then Cook's Hotdogs is the place to eat. I really enjoyed the food from Cook's Hotdogs and will be returning to try a burger and a milkshake.
