If you want really good Chinese food, you need to visit this Chinese take out restaurant. It has unbelievable food. It is called East Garden and it is located in Manorville, NY. It is located in the King Kullen shopping center next to the McDonalds. It is about 5 minutes off the LIE at exit 70 south.

My husband and I are always on the lookout for fresh Chinese food. What I like about East Garden is that they prepare their dishes using white meat chicken. I just find that to be a fresher cut of meat. I actually love dark meat chicken on the bone but when it comes to Chinese food, I prefer the white meat.

When you call to place your order, you will always get the owner. This is what we like best about this restaurant. My husband owns his own business as well and he is always the one who will answer the phone. East Garden is a family owned and operated restaurant. When you place your order, you will be assigned a number. When you go to pick up your food, they will ask you your number and give you your order.

My two concerns that I do have is that they don't deliver and they don't accept charge cards or debit cards, cash only. Sometimes this can pose a problem if we order a ton of food and don't have enough cash on us. It only happened the first time we ordered from there because we didn't know their policy. Now that we know it, we always make sure we have enough cash with us.

They will give you your order in a box and you can take as much duck sauce, hot mustard, etc... that you need. They give you a ton of extra white rice with your order. In the past, they have messed up our order but when I called, the owner told me that our next order for that specific meal would be free. I never took him up on the offer but I did appreciate the effort.

My favorite meal there is the sweet and sour chicken. The chicken is fresh and they give you a huge container of dipping sauce. My husband likes to get the General Tso' Chicken. They give so much in one order that he has enough for two meals. When you order soup, they give you a bag of noodles. These are the thick noodles, I actually prefer the thin noodles in my soup. You can also get an egg roll with your meal. They are a little too greasy for my taste so I skip them. Each time you order they also give you fortune cookies. They have both vanilla and chocolate fortune cookies with a saying inside them. My husband and I like to read those together.

Price wise - they are pretty comparable with other Chinese take-out restaurants we have ordered from. A meal for two will run you about $15 depending on what you ordered.

Atmosphere - When you walk in there are booths and tables you can sit at to eat or to wait for your order. There is a fridge for sodas and drinks. The restaurant is extremely clean too. When you look up you can see pictures of the different specials they have to offer. This take out restaurant gets very busy on the weekends but our order is always ready in 15 minutes.

You can order anything from chicken, shrimp, beef, noodles, soup, lobster, and so much more. They don't have a website to look at but you can ether call or stop by if you are in the area to pick up a take out menu. They are not a full service restaurant with servers or anything like that. However, you can eat there if you would like.

I would highly recommend this wonderful take out Chinese restaurant. You can't go wrong with both the food and the service.
