Fogo De Chao, unlike many other restaurants, has a unique way to serve you. Most traditional restaurant you have to order off the menu and can only try one entrée for one price. However, Fogo De Chao brings to menu to your table. Soon as you sit down and drinks orders are taken you have to option to take a tour of the Salad Bar. The server will return with your drinks and bring out some traditional side dishes to accompany your entrées. The cheese bread, fried bananas, crispy hot polenta and seasoned mashed potatoes are served throughout your meal.
Promptly after your return you are given a coaster. On one side it is green and the other side is red. Flip the green side up and it is go time. The servers will start to come by your table offering fresh flame grilled meats. Some examples are Filet Mignon, Sirloin, Pork Tenderloins, Smoked Sausage, Grilled Chicken Tenderloins, Ribs, and Rib eye. After you have received your selections you simply turn the coaster to the red side and the service will stop. Then you can sit back and enjoy your meal. If you feel the need to go for seconds to try something new that has just came out just simply turn your coast back to the green side.
I have spent around $50.00 per person when visiting the restaurant. However, enjoy going there to have a great steak. A dynamic place, where you are able to sample different steaks is unbelievable. The experience is mouth watering and incredible. Fogo De Chao is an excellent location for a romantic dinner or a night out with some friends. Next time you are in the Houston location give a place a try or check out their many other locations. Visit www.fogodechao.com for additional information and locations.
