Ichikara is much like a Kabuki's, where you and your guests sit around an indoor grill and they grill the food right in front of you. Our cook was very funny and had a really great personality. He made everyone laugh and cooked all seven of our dishes in a timely matter.
The environment was really nice and we were seated right away. There was jazz music playing in the background. Since it was my brother's birthday he was bale to get a special discount on his food. He was able to pick any entrée and get $13 off the original price. So, he went for the Filet Mignon and Lobster meal which was $25.
The thing that got a little annoying to me was how our cook was flirting with one of our friends. He would even look at her in a way that was a little inappropriate. One of the things he said to her was flat out wrong. She had said," The food taste really good" and he would reply, "You too". He would say little weird things like that the whole time he was cooking
Then it came time to pay and that was really annoying. They had over charged our bill over $30! So, we had to spend a lot of extra time try to sort through everything. We had re-calculated several times how much money each person put in and some people had up and left by then. The manager was nice about it, but he was not very helpful in figuring out how much he over charged us.
I still like Ichikara I really just think that it was inappropriate the way our cook was overly flirting with my friend. My friend is really beautiful and used to guys flirting with her, but this guy really made her feel uncomfortable. Other then that, the food was amazing and a little expensive; the least expensive meal is $10.75 and I think that is for the veggie and rice entrée! I got the teriyaki steak and that was $11.50.
