Also, if you are looking for a restaurant that is not very touristy then this is a great option. Little Yoykohma is located in the Time Square area. So you could imagine that this is located in a very touristy area. Many of the restaurants in that area in Time Square and theater district are very touristy and that can be annoying for people who just want to hang out without all this stuff.
So, even thought this is located in such a touristy area you will find refuge from the tourist storm. I think people just might overlook this place because it is really small. In fact when you go in there you will realize that they can only seat about a dozen people at a time. So, this is not a place where you can take a lot of people at one time. However, you will be in a nice comfortable environment. This is a great place to come and eat at after you seen a show and just want to relax without all the hype!
All of their food offering are very affordable. Not only will you get your food for great prices but everything they make is very healthy and not cooked in lots of fats and oils. They also have a good number of vegetarian options. Their meals are healthy and very filling.
Some of the other cons outside of this restaurant being so small are that they do have a limited menu. You will not find all the traditional meals that you are used to seeing in most Japanese restaurants. I think they do this because of the nature of their restaurant is overall very healthy so many of their food offerings are soup, noodles and vegetables with some meat dishes. So if you are excepting to have a lot to choose from you really won't.
Make sure you have plenty of cash on you. They don't except check or credit cards. If you are going with a friend or special someone I would say that $30 to $40 including tips should be plenty.
