The Maki-Maki California Japanese Cuisine serves both lunch and dinner. It is casual dining and the price of the food isn't too much. I have to say that the prices are actually reasonable since the food is very good. I have been to this place quite a few times and I never once had any problems with my food or their service. You can make reservations over the phone or through their web site, www.maki-maki.com. No reservations are accepted during the weekends though which is very understandable.
This restaurant not only offers oysters, teriyaki, and tempura but also a great variety of steaks. They also serve sushi over at the sushi bar and they do have a great variety of sushi to choose from. They also have a full service bar. I have always been a big fan of Japanese cuisine and I have tried so many of them. But I have to say that Maki-Maki California Japanese Cuisine in Irvine is one of the best places to go to if you are like Japanese food or trying it for the first time.
I do recommend this place to everyone! Whenever it is that you're by the Irvine Spectrum, visit this place and you won't regret it. I've taken quite a few of my friends here and they loved the food and loved the service as well. The service is phenomenal and the food, like I said, is great! If you want more information about Maki-Maki California Japanese Cuisine you can go to their web site, www.maki-maki.com.

Post a CommentUnfortunately, we weren't too impressed by Maki Maki. Maybe b/c we went during happy hour but the food was not v. good. We love sushi and have it at least once a week so we've certainly had our share of great sushi. So when we were at the Spectrum yesterday and hungry, we stopped by Maki Maki. We ordered our usual sushi stuff - tuna, yellowtail, salmon and stuff for the kiddies - tempura, yakitori, etc. The sushi was sub par quality - almost like the type you'd get at an all you can eat buffet. And the food wasn't v. hot, which is weird especially for tempura. The atmosphere is nice - not too fancy, so kids are definitely welcomed - but nice and comfortable but when I go out, it's all about the food so I'd rather have high quality sushi and ok atmosphere rather than a nice atmosphere but so so quality.
wow this sounds so good. I will make sure to go when I am down there this summer.
Oh wow this place sounds fantastic, my hubby would love this, great detailed review!!!!!!!!!!!
