This restaurant and deli is to date one of the most unique eateries in Jefferson City, Missouri, for one it's the cities only real deli, secondly it is set up inside a real historic landmark brick house. This amazing restaurant is small compared to other places in Jefferson City, but it's not to hard to find a table in their dining room, or enclosed porch dining area, and on nice days their tables outside in the garden area are perfect for lunch.

The Old Brick House Deli is located at 2421 West Edgewood which is easy to reach from either Stadium Boulevard, or the Route 179 Interchange. It stands out very well against the backdrop of modern commercial strip malls that has developed around this deli over the past few years in the neighborhood.

My wife works in one of the medical offices located near this unique deli, so we made a lunch date at the Old Brick House one Wednesday afternoon. I ordered their French Dip with a side of Dill Pasta Salad, my wife ordered the Turkey & Bacon with a side salad. Their prices are great it was only $5.75 for my wife's sandwich and salad combo, and only $5.95 for my combo meal. Their fountain drinks are also competitively priced at $1.35 each, plus free refills while dining at the restaurant.

Their service is prompt and quick, we only waited in line to place our order a few minutes during their lunch rush, and less than 10 minutes later or sandwiches and sides were prepared and ready.

The food is fresh and they use only the finest meats and cheeses provided by Boar's Head Provisions. The Old Brick House Deli proudly creates food which contains no by-products, no cereals or fillers and no artificial flavors or colors. Many of their healthy food products are certified by the American Heart Association.

Their staff is friendly, and for being such a busy place during lunch time they manage to keep it pretty clean. If I had only one complaint to make about this deli it is that they aren't open in the evening for dinner time hours, they only serve lunch and close later in the afternoon.

If you live in Jefferson City, Missouri and haven't tried The Old Brick House Deli yet then you are missing out on one of the best lunch time eateries and caterers in town, and quite possibly in the Mid-Missouri area.
