Organic Coffee Co. is a nice little coffee shop at the corner of Mission and Fourth Street in downtown San Francisco, near the Metreon, the Moscone Parking Garage and the City College of San Francisco downtown campus. Unlike most eateries in this immediate area, it is not grossly overpriced simply due to it's location. In fact, it delivers a very good, strong cup of coffee at a very reasonable price, and also has some moderately priced breakfast options and sandwiches that aren't bad either. They also support sustainable farming and fair trade practices.

The coffee is from the Rogers Family, imported directly from growers in Panama. Despite that they still have some of the best prices of coffee shops in the area, at $1.25 for a small cup or $1.55 for a large. It's very strong, and has a much more flavorful taste than the Starbucks around the corner, plus you don't have to wait in line for half an hour to get your beverage here either.

They have a wide range of empanadas at $2.95, including some breakfast ones that are mostly egg-based. I found them a touch bland, but probably are mostly healthy, and as an inexpensive grab-and-go item they are not bad. There's also pastries and even vegan cookies. Fresh-squeezed juices are available as well.
