Restaurant Review: Pancho Villa's Bar & Grill in Tucson, Arizona

Pancho Villa's Bar & Grill is located on historic 4th Avenue in Tucson, Arizona. Specializing in authentic Mexican food, this bar and grill does not disappoint! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is comfortable and the prices are great.

To start your meal, there are green and red salsas of varying heat levels available in a serve yourself salsa bar. The menu offers authentic Mexican food such as tamales, burritos, and tacos, with vegetarian choices as well. There are also daily burrito specials. Give the oversized Sonoran hot dog at Pancho Villa's a try. It is said to be quite a hit with Tucson's college population.

As a family we were very pleased with the quality of food. My son ordered an egg and cheese breakfast burrito for $2.99 and was surprised by its size. He would have loved to have devoured it all; but there was so much food in the tortilla that he was stuffed halfway through his meal.

I chose the vegetarian quesadilla. It was a good, light choice. The vegetables tasted fresh and flavorful.

My husband had a burrito and was satisfied with both the taste and portion size.

We were very impressed with the food. If the three of us were Tucson natives, we would definitely frequent this place.

Pancho Villa's Bar & Grill is a casual and comfortable dining experience. There were college kids, families, and people dining alone. Reservations are not needed, and dress is "come as you are" casual.

The service at Pancho's is outstanding. We never had to ask for a refill on our drinks. Our waiter was the right balance of attentive and friendly. There was a rush of customers while we were there, and he was able to take care of a number of patrons with ease.

The bar and grill is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It would be a good destination for a casual date, a group get together, or a quick lunch on the go. Try out happy hour some night and take advantage of their drink specials!

Next time we are in the neighborhood, we will make sure we stop at Pancho's. The portions, prices, and people-friendly atmosphere was appreciated.
