Do not be fooled by the fact that this restaurant is located in a shopping center. Panda Garden is a lovely restaurant complete with white table cloths, cloth napkins and crystal glassware. The interior is dimly lit for an intimate dinning experience with traditional Asian artwork on the walls. The wait staff is very prompt and courteous.
This has become my favorite restaurant to have Hunan cuisine. The quality is superb and the portions are generous. The staff takes extra care in making sure the food is made to order using the freshest ingredients. They offer the standard soups and appetizers such as Wonton Soup, Hot & Sour Soup, Spring Rolls, and steam or fried Dumplings ranging in price from $1.25 to $8.50. For those who are watching their weight they have a section of Diet Favors. To name a few, Steamed Mixed Vegetables, Steamed Shrimp with Vegetables and Steamed Scallops with Vegetables. All are prepared in a steamer and served with a special low calorie sauce on the side. Once you have finished your soup and appetizers you are ready for the main course options. For the white meat lover in your family, there are many options to choose from such as the General Tso's Chicken, Moo Shu Chicken, and my favorite, the Kung Pao Chicken all ranging is price from $7.25 to $9.25. If you prefer the beef or pork entrees you can take your time deciding between the Mongolian Beef, Spicy Szechwan Beef or the Sweet & Sour Pork just to name a few. Beef and pork entrees range in price from $7.25 to $9.25. Once again, for the seafood entrees there are many delicious tempting items to choose from ranging in price from $8.50 to $11.25. Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, Shrimp & Chicken with Mushrooms and Walnut Shrimp are some of the favorite seafood entrees you can choose from. They also have the standard rice and noodle dishes with the price ranging from $4.95 to $5.95. After you have enjoyed your entrée you can choose a yummy dessert like the Honey Crispy Banana (8 pieces) for $3.95 or the Sesame Banana (8 pieces) for $3.25.
The Lunch Menu consists of 29 different entrée selections served with your choice of soup and appetizer and is served daily until 4:00pm. Lunch Specials range in price from $5.50 to $6.25. To view the entire menu you can visit the Panda Garden Hunan Cuisine Menu.
Our dining experience was very enjoyable and the food fantastic. One member of my dining party stated "These are the best steamed dumplings I have ever eaten in my life!" and I had to agree. You can find Panda Garden located at 1043 Eldridge Road, Sugar Land, Texas 77478 (281-242-7728) and if you are lucky enough to live in the area they will deliver your food to you for free. If you are in the Sugar Land, Texas area you will be very satisfied when you make time to stop in and eat at Panda Garden. I highly recommend this establishment.
