While visiting my sister in Ft. Worth she treated me to dinner at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. Many things looked good on the menu while some looked too exotic for me, such as Fried Alligator. I was afraid that one might bite me back!
My sister ordered an appetizer of Sautéed crabfingers which was wonderful. For dinner I had the Cedar Plank Salmon Fillet topped with garlic herb butter & broiled on a smokey cedar plank with asparagus. It was actually a high protein and low carb friendly meal to eat but at the time it was just delicious. And I had my not so carb friendly favorite- Key Lime pie that was a great mixture of sweet and sour.
They have cold appetizers such as cold boiled shrimp and shrimp cocktail. Hot appetizers such as fried calamari, and crawfish, to onion rings and garlic bread. They have a whole listing for oyster appetizers.
They have Pappas Greek Salad which is salad tossed with fresh vegetables, imported kalamata olives, capers, solinika peppers, oregano & feta cheese in Pappas Greek Dressing. On the menu are other salads such as Asia Chicken salad that has blackened pineapple glazed chicken in it. They have lobster seafood salad as well as shrimp and spinach salad.
There are shrimp and seafood gumbos on the menu. As well as shrimp, catfish, or oyster Po-boys. They have stuffed crab or fried soft shell crab. They have fried oysters.
There are Cajun specialties such as Shrimp Creole with white rice, Crawfish Etouffee with dirty rice, and Shrimp Etouffee with white rice.
They offer blackened, pan-broiled, or char-grilled fresh fish fillets. Also they have Certified Angus Beef Rib-Eye, Filet Mignon, or Lobster. On the menu are also:
Costa Rican Mahi-Mahi, Hawaiian Yellowfin Tuna, and Alaskan Halibut as well as desserts to finish the meal off with.
The desserts available besides Key Lime pie are delicious foods such as Creme Brulée with fresh fruit, Oreo Cookie Mousse, and Praline Cheesecake.
For those who want to drink alcohol they have a bar. If you go there for dinner, go early or make reservations or there may be a long wait. But other than that, the service is excellent. I highly recommend Pappadeax Seafood Kitchen for a delicious dinner and wonderful dining experience.
