Restaurant Review: Pizza Hut Southport, NC

One of my favorite pizza places as a child has been Pizza Hut. Seeing the rred roof brought back fond memories. I decided to visit Pizza Hut Southport, NC to attempt to share these memories with my family.

First Impressions of Pizza Hut Southport, NC

Pizza Hut is a recognizable brand, so Pizza Hut Southport, NC was different than the rest. The difference was the inside. The restrooms were dated and unclean. The salad bar had a sign on it stating it was out of order. There were several cracks in the booths and the wall panels. Pizza Hut Southport, NC was in dire need of a refreshing remodel.

When you frequent any restaurant, you expect great service, especially if you frequent a national chain. The only friendly moment was when we were seated. The waitress was not personable, didn't smile, and simply had a bad attitude. She reminded me of someone who had a bad day and she was going to take out her frustrations out on everyone around her. She more concerned with dining with her friends, than giving us stellar service.

The menu was similar to the national advertisements. Pizza Hut Southport, NC was running specials for a large pizza with 3-toppings for $10. There were also deals on specialty pizzas as well as various appetizers.

Where to begin? We wanted one of the nationally advertised pizzas, 3-toppings for $10. At this moment, we were told Pizza Hut Southport, NC didn't have the crusts prepared. We had to choose something else. We then attempted to order four P'Zones. We were again told the ingredients were not readily available, so we had to choose something else.

Being completely disappointed, we just asked what was available. We were told the only item available were medium pizzas. So we ordered a medium pizza. I was hoping this particular pizza would be one of the best creations I have tasted due to the hassle I had encountered. I was wrong on all accounts. Pizza Hut Southport, NC put too much sauce on the pizza and the pizza was not piping hot.

Considering Pizza Hut Southport, NC didn't have any food, our check was very minimal. Even though the manager suggested we didn't pay for our meal, we insisted. We paid for a medium pizza and six drinks. Our total was $10. If we had were able to order the food we wanted, our total would have been roughly $25.

My Take and Thoughts Pizza Hut Southport, NC

Although Pizza Hut is a national chain, this particular franchise in Southport, NC is not doing the brand justice. Pizza hut is known for fast and friendly service. Pizza Hut Southport, NC had neither. It is sad when my daughter mentioned Pizza Hut Southport, NC should be called The Hut because they didn't have any pizza.

The cleanliness was nowhere near expectations. The service was horrible. The waitress made me feel as if we were inconveniencing her and interrupting her day. The only positive aspect of my experience was the price. Since this was a national promotion, Pizza Hut Southport, NC had little to do with pricing actions. Overall a poorly managed Pizza Hut.
