Restaurant Review Red Pig Inn

Findlay, Ohio

Bubba
It was Saturday night , date night if you will. I had a date with the Queen Goddess and we were meeting the "Trucking Palmers" for supper. Our dear friends the Palmers are over the road drivers and we are able to break bread with them about four times a year so this was to be a special evening. Terry insisted the best food he had eaten recently was in Findlay, Ohio so that is where we headed.

The name of this little piece of Bar B Que heaven is the Red Pig Inn. It is located at 2215 Tiffin Ave in Findlay Ohio. It is well away from the high water so no water front table available for a sunset. Give 'em a call at 1-419-425-9205. They are open Monday through Thursday from 11am till 1030pm, Friday and Saturday 11am till 1130pm, Sunday from 11am till 10pm.

Monday through Thursday evening they have a pick two dinners' special, from a list of Nine dinners and super salads for only $15.95. Beverage and dessert are extra of course. For all you buffet lovers there is a Wednesday lunch buffet and a Sunday Brunch buffet. The menu is extra special. Take your time and you will find Steaks, Seafood, Super Salads, Sandwiches, Ribs, Chops, and more, not all are Bar B Que. Don't miss the Award Winning Rib Combinations.

Terry and The Queen Goddess both decided on the Red's BBQ pork Chop, a one pound tender pork chop basted with their special sauce "That will make you squeal" Terry chose the cole slaw and baked potato, The Queen chose the house salad and steamed vegetable. The house salad was a delightful change of pace with dried cranberries and mandarin oranges added to the greens. The steamed broccoli was over cooked. Michelle chose the half slab of ribs with the house salad and over cooked broccoli. I chose the Hog Heaven Trio. They didn't misname this dish. Four ounces of smoked and BBQ sausage, a third of a slab of ribs with the special Red Pig Sauce "that will make you squeal"., and a mountain of pulled slow roasted BBQ pork. I chose the garden salad enhanced with a Red Raspberry Vinegar and Oil and the over cooked steamed broccoli. Hold your fork the best is yet to come...

We were all so stuffed we took our Turtle Cheesecake home for a special snack with our bed time cup of tea. It was delightful. Terry and Michelle passed up the opportunity to enjoy this decadent pleasure.

OK folks not including gas or oil we had dinner fer two, dessert, beverages, sales tax and a generous gratuity for Amber our server for under $45. If perhaps you visit the Red Pig Inn before we return just tell 'em Bubba and Bonnie sent ya. Mizpah ;-}}>
