Roady's Restaurant is in the downtown area and is kind of a whole in the wall place that is easy to overlook. However, everyone who lives in San Dimas probably knows about Roady's. Roady's is an old fashioned diner style restaurant from the fifties. It is very dated, but it does give you an authentic feel of the time period.
There is a juke box in the back room and an old fashion bar in the waiting lounged where you can order wine or beer. The middle rooms have a bunch of tables and a few booths. The restaurant is pretty big so there has never been a time that I have had to wait a long time to be seated.
All the waiters and waitress is elderly people. I have even seen a woman waitressing that looks like she could be in her late 70's. The service is decent they get the food to you pretty quickly, but the waitress were not that friendly. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant is just average. My friend says it smells like a convalescent home to him! The floors look like they could use a good mopping and the walls could be dusted.
Roady's does have a lot of food to choose from. This restaurant is old fashioned American cuisine. What I like about this restaurant is that you can order breakfast anytime; the menu price range from about $3.95 to $10.50, so the prices are very reasonable.
There is only on bathroom each for men and women. One of the last times I went I had to wait a long time to use the facilities, because there was only one bathroom. The bathroom was really not that clean and low on toilet paper. The toilet did not flush well and the sink had a little bit of a leak. I know I probably sound a little bit nit picky, but I just notice everything when I go out to eat.
So, would I recommend you go to this restaurant? No, there are other choices that are cleaner and have more friendly service.
