The man appeared to be an employee of Round Table. He was friendly and courteous, so I decided to alter my choice for lunch and try out the pizza buffet. When I walked in, the restaurant seemed to have a nice atmosphere. I walked up and paid for the $5.99 buffet, which came to a grand total of $6.45 including the tax. Not bad.
I figured this was healthier overall considering I'd be getting my daily vegetables from the salad bar, as opposed to the burger place which would have had only the small amount on the sandwich. Of course, the more I would fill up on the salad and the less on the pizza, the better.
I usually like to select the raw vegetables for my salad, and this compact salad bar had green leafy lettuce, carrots, broccoli, onions and mushrooms - all appeared fresh. I also included some black olives, sunflower seeds and a small amount of cheese. Voila! I like to eat my salad first.
When I finished the salad, I went over to get some pizza. They had a selection that included pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, pineapple, jalapenos and some other peppers. The pizza was okay and it hit the spot, especially for an all you can eat buffet. I wouldn't say it's the best, but they do have a gourmet specialty pizza menu.
The Round Table buffet also includes all you can drink soda from the machine which has several choices. Oh yes, the pizza buffet also had Garlic Parmesan Twists, and these were pretty tasty, as well. There is also a selection of regular and premium beer by the pint or pitcher.
Just a few other points: The staff was pleasant and helpful. The restaurant has a small game room that kids should enjoy. It also has a convenient small banquet room toward the back which could be very useful as a meeting place or a room for small gatherings. There is a coupon card where after eight meals you can get the ninth one for free. They also have an e-mail club where you can sign up to receive special offers.
Round Table also has a "Lightening Hot Delivery" service.
