Restaurant Review of Shake Shack in New York City

Alia Jae
Shake Shack is located in New York City in Madison Square Park. From the outside this restaurant might remind you of a fast food joint, but don't be deceived this little eatery is head and shoulders above all the fast food joints! Yes, they do serve up burgers and fries, but all of their food offerings are made with high quality ingredients and everything you order is fresh.

There hamburgers are so delicious because of the fact that their ingredient are fresh and high quality. You will probably be disgusted with traditional fast food joints after you have eaten here. There is outdoor seating and this is a casual environment so no need to dress up. Lunch and dinner is very affordable.

As great as the food might be here there are some cons that I think you should be aware of. The lines can be incredibly long; at lunch time it might even be discouraging to eat there because the lines seems like its just never going to end. Also, there is no indoor seating, so if you go in the summer good luck with that! Well, it's not all bad there are a lot of trees that will provide some decent shade, but if it's really humid there is not too much to do about that. Also, there is a limited amount of tables to sit at so if you don't get there before the lunch crowd you will probably not get a spot.

The Shake Shack burger will cost you $4.39. The ground beef in any of their burgers are seasoned to perfection and is serve with tomatoes, cheese, lettuce and Shakes special sauce. They have some incredible cheese fries that will be the death to you if you are lactose intolerant! This will cost you $2.08 and can be shared with someone else. The Chicago Dog is high recommended and it only costs $2.77. The Chicago Dog has delicious vegetables like tomatoes, pickles, onions and lettuce! There is also the Shroom Burger for the Vegetarians. This costs $4.15 and includes fried Portobello mushrooms, cheese, shack sauce and onions. Umm Um good!

Save room for dessert because they do have quite a bit to offer! The frozen custard is to die for and is only $2.54. Try the concretes if you dare. The Concretes is ice cream blended with custard and is topped of with butterscotch! The Concrete is delicious and a little more expensive at $5.77! Enjoy this cool treat you and your kids will appreciate all this good eating!
