Once inside, you notice multiple tables, 95% full of guests. There is a room large enough for a party of at least 75 people if need be. The walls are decorated with pictures of Smithfield, NC, the birthplace of Smithfield's Chicken 'n Bar-B-Q. The atmosphere was positive.

There isn't a traditional wait staff to include a host and a waitress. There was a person at the register taking orders and the wait staff who came around periodically to refill your drinks and clean up any debris on the table. The employees who came around to the tables were polite and friendly. Part of their job wasn't to refill drinks, but they assured us we were their guests and they were obliged.

The menu consisted of eastern, NC barbeque. This style of barbeque is vinegar based. This was the only drawback considering I have only eaten Texas style barbeque.

One could taste the herbs and spices used in the preparation of the batter. Even though the food was deep fried at Smithfield's Chicken 'n Bar-B-Q Henderson, NC, there was not an overwhelming presence of oil. All of the barbeque contained a genuine smoky flavor.
