Restaurant Review: Stefanina's Pizzeria - A Favorite Restaurant in St. Charles County

Stefanina's Pizzeria, located at 8645 Veteran's Memorial Pkwy,in O'Fallon, MO, would appear to be like any regular pizzeria as you first come in, but once you sit down, you will quickly learn, there is nothing that compares to it.

Since 1981, and now celebrating almost twenty five years as O'Fallon's original family restaurant, they have also included three express locations scattered throughout St. Charles County as well.

From the moment we entered the establishment in O'Fallon, we felt as if we were stepping into a true Italian eatery. From steaks to seafood, and pastas galore, there is something for everyone in your party.

The atmosphere was wonderful, the staff extremely friendly and attentive. I was impressed with the smile's on everyones faces. Everyone seemed happy to be there, and it was noted in the staff's demeanor.

When we began looking at the menu, we were startled to see the long list of appetizers. There are over twenty appetizer dishes available at prices that are affordable, including toasted ravioli, hot wings, cheese jalapeños, garlic bread, potato skins, and so much more.

Everything both sounded and looked delicious, however we declined appetizers and went straight for the main course. Let me tell you about their amazing main dishes. The mouth watering smells and the site of those retaurant trays overflowing with delicious food, were effecting my stomach greatly.

Stefanina's menu is broken down into seven categories beginning with pizza. All the traditional toppings are available on their amazing St. Louis Style pizza. They also have a few specialty pizza's including a Stefanina's house pizza and each description made hungrier than I was before.

Next in line was the list of pasta dishes, that was certainly over twenty five different dishes. After asking, I learned that upon request certain additional pasta dishes can be made as well. From a typical spaghetti dinner, though I will assure you there is nothing "typical" about this food, to a more traditional choice of eggplant parmegiana and tortellini, as well as cannelloni, ravioli and manicotti. All are served with a dinner salad, rolls and butter. Every Italian pasta is accounted for at this restaurant. I was extremely pleased at the numerous choices.

Then there were the delicious steak offerings. With seven different choices, from a porterhouse steak to a siroloin strip steak, and each plate being served with a dinner salad, bread and butter and a choice of potato, vegetable, fries or spaghetti, you will be completely full after this meal.

There was also a surprising seventeen different sandwiches available. From regular hamburgers to the more Italian sandwiches such as meatball subs and veal, all sandwiches were fairly priced and were served in large, fresh portions.

Also included on the menu are several choices of chicken or seafood dishes.

Stefanina's Pizzeria did not forget our children. It is an extremely family friendly atmosphere. The children's menu happily boasts traditional faire that all children adore, such as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, a choice of spaghetti or mostacciolli, and several others.

And when you are ready to polish off the meal with a fine dessert the choices are once again simply amazing. The chocolate suicide cake is one of those cakes that you will crave even after you've long left the restaurant. I wish I was eating one right now. There are several other choices available including apple pie, cheesecake and spumoni or traditional ice cream.
