A lunchtime review of the Cheshire Bridge Road location of Taqueria del Sol in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dress: Casual. You'll see people in jeans and khaki pants.

Parking: Limited. Taqueria del Sol is located in a small plaza with few parking spaces compared to its immense popularity. You are free to park anywhere in the plaza. Go across the street, however, and you will be towed.

At Noon: You will be pressed to find a parking space and the line will be out the door. The line does move quickly, though. Get there at 11:30am and you should be fine. This place is so popular that I have left it once because I could not find a parking space.

Taqueria del Sol is a popular, inexpensive place for Mexican cuisine with a twist. It draws a variety of people due to its convenient Cheshire Bridge Road location. You will see everyone here - suits, moms with babies and business casual folks stopping in for a quick meal.

In fact, Taqueria del Sol is so popular that during their recent renovation, they set up shop in a trailer similar to the type you would see at a festival to sell their wares. And they still had a line.

Walking in, you will find yourself surrounded by sunshine and light with the yellow and blue décor of the restaurant. The patio is a favorite place to sit in the summertime.

The Food
It is all about the tacos, here. Tacqueria del Sol offers a fish taco, a carnita taco and a fried chicken taco just to name a few. My favorite is the Memphis - a barbecued-pork taco topped with cole slaw. If you are not adventurous for your first time out, order the fried chicken taco and a chicken enchilada.

The menu is one page. Blue plate specials change weekly as does a special taco. Sign up for the restaurant's email newsletter if you want to be notified of the week's specials. After a few visits, though, you will discover your favorite tacos and stick to them. Also, always good is the cheese dip.

Can I Make it Back to Work in an Hour?
Yes, if you go early. You will spend most of your time waiting in line or trying to find a parking space. If you can beat the noontime rush, you will easily be able to make it back to the office in an hour.

Servers bring your tacos out to you within ten minutes of sitting down. There have been times where the server has been looking for my party while we are still looking for a place to sit.

Cost of Meal
The meal will probably cost around $10 including tax and tip. This assumes that you buy two tacos, a side and an iced tea. You can eat at this restaurant for less than $5 if you are not particularly hungry.

How the Money Works
When you walk in, you pay the cashier and give them the name of your party. If you have ordered iced tea, it is in huge containers to the right. After finding a table, your server will find you by calling out your name.

Reservations
Not needed. If you can find a parking space, you can find a table.
