When you first enter Texas Steakhouse & Saloon Wake Forest, NC, the expectation is not high. I envisioned another restaurant which serves a combination of grilled items. I was definitely incorrect. The atmosphere was upbeat and positive. The décor resembled an old west saloon. The only down side was the lighting was too dim for comfort. With the lighting so dim, at times you had to squint to read the menu.

One of the best features of Texas Steakhouse & Saloon Wake Forest, NC was the hospitality of the wait staff. The servers were attentive to our needs. Every server, waitress, and water was smiling and friendly. If a waitress/waiter passed your table, they asked if you needed anything, regardless if they were your server or not.

The main dish at Texas Steakhouse & Saloon Wake Forest, NC was steak, but there are other selections just as good. You will be excited by the choices of seafood and chicken as well as hearty salads and appetizers. Something in which I was pleased with was the healthy option on the kid's menu. Texas Steakhouse & Saloon Wake Forest, NC offered a salad in addition to any kid's meal.

Being a steakhouse, we couldn't resist the temptation of a grilled steak. We chose hand-cut ribeyes as well as two kid's meals with salads, the Super Cheezy Chicken, and a Chicken Iron Skillet. Hand's down, the steak was fantastic. If you generally don't eat steak, you must try this decadent piece of meat. Preferring steak well done, I expected a tough piece of meat, but I was wrong. Cutting through this steak was like cutting through butter.

The ribeye was mouth watering as it was succulent. The chicken on both meals was most and well prepared. Even the kid's meals were well made. The salad was clearly made from scratch and not prepackaged.

At the end of our meal we spent roughly $70 with the tip included. We took advantage of their menu special of 2 meals for $16.99. Anytime a large party can seek out deals to this caliber, it is a plus.

With such savory food, you just want to try everything on the menu. Unless you have a huge appetite, you will not be able too. The service was great and the food was even better. There were other options within close proximity, but we chose Texas Steakhouse &Saloon Wake Forest, NC because of the mentioned qualities of service. We definitely had a fantastic experience.
