If you're in the Snoqualmie Valley and in the mood for some Chinese, there's a place in Duvall WA worth visiting. The Twin Dragon is located on Main St in Duvall WA and is run in conjunction with the Sports Bar next door. For our anniversary this week, we stopped in the restaurant area for the first time and loved every minute of it.

The décor is tasteful and the service very pleasant. We were met by a smiling hostess and taken to our seat quickly. Both hot tea and water were brought to us quickly as we were given time to look over the menu.

Their menu is very diverse from daily lunch specials starting at $4.95 to Deluxe Special Family Dinners starting at $12.95. They use no MSG in any of their food and the selections are outstanding. There are special combination dinners, noodle bowls, appetizers, bean curds and tofu for the vegetarians of the bunch, a wide variety of soups and separate beef, poultry, pork and seafood dishes. Spicy items are clearly marked with in addition to their willingness to spice up a non-spicy dish if you wish. They also include a note stating they will try to accommodate dietary restrictions if you let them know prior to your order. No matter what your tastes you're sure to find something of interest on their extensive menu. Bear and Wines are also available in addition to the usual coffee, teas and sodas.

For our dinner, we chose the Twin Dragon Dinner, one of the two Deluxe Special Family Style Dinners. This included Won Ton Soup, Egg Roll, Barbecued Pork, Crispy Fried Chicken with almonds, Sweet and Sour Pork, Beef with pea pods and mixed vegetables, and finally pork fried rice. For four people or more ordering this, Chicken Chow Mein is added and for six or more, that and Deep Fried Prawns are added. This meal was wonderful and well worth the $12.95 per person.

We were brought the Won Ton soup first. It was clear, flavorful, lightly seasoned with spring onions and the Won Ton center was quite tender without the noodle being overdone.

The egg roll arrived next on a plate with the barbequed pork. On the side was a beautiful little cup with sweet sauce, mustard sauce and crushed almonds swirled like a pin wheel in the dish. The egg roll was crisp with a center full of tender vegetables and the pork was outstanding. Strips of pork, tender enough to cut with your fork with a barbeque sauce, tasty but not overwhelming. As soon as we were finished with our dishes, they were removed and the next course was brought to us. The service at Twin Dragon was great.

Our next course consisted of separate plates bearing the Pork Fried Rice, Crispy Fried Chicken with almonds, Sweet and Sour Pork and the Beef with pea pods mixed vegetables. Each of these was perfect. Tender meat, light sauces and crisp vegetables.

The Crispy Fried Chicken with almonds was fantastic. The almonds were done similar to encrusted almonds. I looked to see if this dish could be ordered by itself and was pleased to find it in their poultry dishes at $9.95.

The Sweet and Sour Pork was also wonderful. Very crisp tempura batter with tender pork inside. The sauce was placed lightly on the pork pieces, which is exactly what I prefer. My husband likes more sauce and was easily able to add more to his from the dish.

The beef and vegetable dish was also pleasing. I never came across one piece of tough meat during any of this dinner and the vegetables were always served at a crisp but cooked perfection.

I definitely give the Twin Dragon in Duvall WA 5 stars for their décor, service, menu variety, hours and wonderful food.
